Questions Fréquentes - FAQ

Answers to the questions we hear most often, from choosing a model to caring for your piano.

What is Boisselot?

Boisselot is a piano brand with a French-inspired approach to design and production. Our grand and upright pianos are made for musicians who want a warm tone and a responsive touch.

What is the difference between your grand and upright pianos?

Grand pianos (BRE series) offer a horizontal soundboard and a fuller, more expressive response, ideal for concert rooms, studios and larger homes. Upright pianos (BYE series) deliver a rich sound in a compact form that suits apartments, schools and practice rooms.

What are Boisselot pianos made with?

Our grand pianos use a German Reynolds action and German FFW felt hammers. Our upright pianos use an aluminum main action and Japanese felt hammers.

What do the model names mean?

The letter "W" at the end of a model name stands for white. Each Boisselot piano is available in two polished finishes: Polished Snow White (for example BRE-152W) and Polished Ebony (for example BRE-152).

Which model is right for me?

For a home with space, consider the BRE-152 or BRE-160. For a larger room, studio or stage, the BRE-186 offers more projection. If space is limited, the BYE-121, BYE-123A and BYE-123AP are excellent choices. Contact us and we will help you choose.

How do I enquire or request a quote?

Use the form on our Contact page. We will reply within 1-3 business days.

What warranty is included?

Every Boisselot piano comes with a 2-year warranty from the date of purchase. To make a warranty claim, contact info@boisselot.com with your proof of purchase and serial number.

How often should my piano be tuned?

We recommend tuning at least twice a year, and after moving the instrument. Keep it away from direct sunlight, radiators, air-conditioning vents and damp areas to protect the tone and stability.

Who do I contact for service?

Write to info@boisselot.com with your model, serial number and a short description of the issue.
